MY PARAPLEGIC WORKOUT ROUTINE - EXERCISES IN AND OUT OF MY WHEELCHAIR
TODAY I'M SHOWING YOU MY WHEELCHAIR, PARAPLEGIC WORKOUT ROUTINE. SOME OF THESE EXERCISES CAN BE DONE IN YOUR WHEELCHAIR. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT STRENGTHENING YOUR CORE MUSCLES.
After suffering my spinal cord injury, my back and core muscles are very weak. I have had a c-section so these exercises are very good if you are pregnant or just had child birth.
I think this workout routine is grate for anyone with paralysed legs, or feet. So i do Pilates, I lift weights and do weight training, and stretches and lung exercises as my muscles get so tight around my chest.
I also horse ride at riding for the disabled and would love to be able to compete on a Paralympic level. I'm also a big fan of swimming as its non weight baring sport.
I also like to do some weight bearing excuses as this helps with bone density, and prevents osteoporosis.
